Day 01 | Arrival Delhi |

On arrival in Delhi Airport, our representative will assist and guide you to get transferred to the hotel for check in.

Overnight at the hotel.

 Day 02 | Delhi – Kathmandu | Altitude: 1,400 m / 4,600 ft.

Upon arrival at Kathmandu, you will be met and assisted by our airport representative with all visa formalities. At the arrivals hall, you will be greeted by our guide and transferred to the hotel. Check – in time at the hotel is 1pm. You can sit by the lobby or stroll along the streets of Durbar Marg (King’s Palace way).

This afternoon, after freshening up, visit the Kathmandu Durbar Square.

Kathmandu, the largest city of Nepal, is the political as well as the cultural capital of the country. Like any big city, Kathmandu has seen rapid expansion in the last decade, but despite the hustle and bustle so typical of metropolitan cities, its people remain as refreshingly friendly as ever. Retaining its ancient traditions, Kathmandu is blessed by a Living Goddess and is enriched by endless ceremonial processions and events that take to the streets every now and then with throngs of devotees seeking blessings.

Day 03 | Kathmandu |

After breakfast at the hotel, start your day with a visit to Pashupatinath Temple, Boudhanath Stupa and Bhaktapur city.

The magnificent temple of Pashupatinath with its astonishing architectural beauty is situated amidst a lush green natural setting on the bank of the sacred Bagmati River. The temple built in pagoda style has gilded roof and richly carved silver doors. Dedicated to the Hindu God of Destruction, Lord Shiva, this temple is regarded as the most sacred temple of all Lord Shiva temples. It is listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

Every year thousands of pilgrims from all over the world come to pay homage to this temple. Non-Hindu visitors are strictly prohibited to enter the temple; however, they are permitted to view the temple from the east banks of the River Bagmati. Pashupatinath is also Nepal’s most renowned Hindu cremation site.

Boudhanath Stupa is one of the most imposing landmarks of Kathmandu and is a center of Tibetan Buddhism. The stupa is built on a massive three level mandala style platform and is 36 meters (118 feet) in height. The base of the stupa is adorned with 108 small images of the Dhyani Amitabha Buddha and inset with prayer wheels. Thousands of pilgrims circle the stupa in a clockwise direction each day spinning the prayer wheels. It is said that each spin of a prayer wheel is the equivalent of reciting the mantra. The stupa’s massive mandala makes it one of the largest spherical stupas in Nepal. The ancient stupa is one of the largest in the world. It is a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

Later, visit the medieval city of Bhaktapur. Bhaktapur or Bhadgaon, literally the ‘City of Devotees’ is a major tourist destination that takes visitors back in time. Bhaktapur lies on the Arniko Highway that connects Kathmandu to the Chinese border. Bhaktapur is still untouched by rapid urbanization and has managed to retain its brick paved roads, charming red brick houses and a way of life that goes back to medieval times. This ancient city is also famous for pottery and woodcarving amply displayed on the squares and windows respectively.

The extraordinary Bhaktapur Durbar Square is a UNESCO World Heritage Site and its monuments reflect the glory days of the Malla Dynasty when art and architecture thrived in the three cities of the valley.

In Bhaktapur Durbar Square, visit the Nyatapola Temple, the unique Temple that literally means ‘five storied’ and rises above the city’s landscape as a remarkable landmark.

Bhairavnath Temple, dedicated to Bhairav, the God of Terror, is a three-storied temple noted for its artistic grandeur and stands adjacent to the famous five-storied Nyatapola Temple.

The Golden Gate is the entrance to the 15th century Palace of 55 Carved Windows. The golden gate is a masterpiece in repousse art, which has added splendor to this palace square that consists of buildings dating from the 13th century to the 18th century.

You can also stroll around Taumadhi Tole, a short street lined with tourist shops.

Day 04 | Kathmandu |

 After breakfast today, visit Patan, Bungamati and Khokana

Patan, also known as Lalitpur, the city of artisans is a paradise of fine arts and best known for its rich cultural heritage. It is home to the valley’s finest craftsmen who have preserved such ancient techniques as the repoussé and lost wax process used to produce exquisite sculptures. The city retains much of its old charm with its narrow streets, brick houses and multitude of well-preserved Hindu temples, Buddhist monasteries (vihars) and monuments.

In the heart of Patan, amidst the Patan marketplace lays the Patan Durbar Square, an area filled with ancient palaces, pagoda temples, stone baths, Hindu and Buddhist statues, engravings and bronze cravings. The Palace of the Malla Kings is one of the highlights of Patan. Patan Durbar Square is also a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Also located in the square is the Patan Museum, formerly a Malla palace, which houses bronze statues and religious objects, some dating back to the 11th century.

Bungamati is a typical medieval Newari village perched near the Bagmati River, 10 km north from the capital city Kathmandu. Less influenced by modern life and abiding by its old culture and civilization,Bungamati exemplifies true beauty.

A tour through the village of Bungamati gives a clear picture of the primitive lifestyle of the Newari community. The village streets have quite a few woodcarving shops and once on the streets, one can see the local Newari people busy working intricate designs on wood or stone. Most of the people in the village make their living through woodcarving, an art that has been passed down through generations.

Khokana is a small Newari village located about 8 km from the Kathmandu city. A village of its own, Khokana is unique in many ways. Khokana has its own history and over the years it is less affected by modern civilization and has managed to retain its own culture and tradition.

The village is famous for its unusual mustard-oil harvesting process which till date is done in a traditional way using a heavy wooden beam to crush the mustard seeds in order to extract the oil. This oil is rich in therapeutic benefits.

Khokana is the first habitation to be electrified, even before the Kathmandu city. Nominated to be listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site, Khokana represents itself as a vernacular village and for its industrial heritage of mustard-oil seed.

Day 05 | Kathmandu – Pokhara|

After an early breakfast, begin your drive to Pokhara. The roads could be bumpy and normally takes about 6 hours, but could take longer in case of traffic congestion.

After breakfast this morning, you will be driven by surface to Pokhara.

Pokhara’s bewitching beauty has been the subject of many travel writers. Its pristine air, spectacular backdrop of snowy peaks, serene lakes and surrounding greenery make it ‘the jewel in the Himalaya’, a place of remarkable natural beauty.

Upon arrival in Pokhara, check into the hotel and relax for a while.

In the evening, enjoy boating at the Phewa Taal, the second largest lake in Nepal. The lake is stream fed but a dam regulates the water reserve, therefore, it is classified as semi-natural freshwater lake. Visit Barahi Temple – the island temple situated in a small island in the Phewa Lake surrounded by marvelous views.

Day 06 | Pokhara|

After breakfast, we head out for sightseeing the beautiful city of Pokhara.

Visit World Peace Pagoda, a Buddhist stupa built by the Buddhist monks of the Japanese Nipponzan Fujii organization at a narrow ridge above the Phewa Taal.

Also visit the International Mountain Museum, Davis Fall and Gupteshwor Mahadev Cave, across the Davis Fall, which is one of the longest caves in Nepal. Also visit Pokhara’s traditional Old Bazaar. Visit the Bindabasini Temple on the way towards the hotel, one of the oldest temples in Pokhara.

Day 07 | Pokhara – Dhulikhel|

After an early breakfast, start driving back to Kathmandu. On arrival in Kathmandu, drive further to Dhulikhel. Dhulikhel is an ancient Newari town popular for its exhilarating beauty and unparalleled serenity. It offers the best panoramic views of snow-capped mountain ranges along with the beauty of old Newari houses, a number of Hindu shrines and Buddhist stupas that are spread across the town. View of Mount Annapurna and Karolung is breathtaking from here making it one of the most sought after destinations in Nepal.

Evening will be at leisure.

Overnight at Dhulikhel Lodge Resort

Day 08 |Dhulikhel – Kathmandu – Delhi|

After a leisurely breakfast this morning surrounded in a world of peace and tranquility of Dhulikhel, we drive back to Kathmandu which will take approximately about an hour.

Transfer to the airport for your flight to Delhi. Reporting time at the airport is 3 hours prior to departure.

On reaching Delhi, you will be transferred to the hotel for check in.

Evening at leisure. Overnight at the hotel.

Day 09 | Delhi – Dharamshala|

After breakfast at the hotel, you will be transferred to the airport to board your flight to Dharamshala.

On arriving at Dharamshala, our representative will there to assist you to get transferred to the hotel and check in. The rest of the day will be at leisure.

Day 10 | Dharamshala|

After breakfast at the hotel, enjoy a full day sightseeing tour of Dharamshala.

Visit The Dalai Lama temple, Tibet museum, St John’s in the wilderness, Naddi valley, Norbulingka institute and Kangra valley museum, Tea Gardens.  

The driver will cover all major attractions. Overnight at the hotel.

Day 11 | Dharamshala – Garli|

After breakfast at the hotel, you will be driven by surface to the beautiful heritage village of Kangra Valley, Garli.

Explore the wondrous architecture of this little hamlet.

Overnight at the hotel.

Day 12 | Garli – Amritsar|

After breakfast at the hotel, you will be driven by surface to Amritsar.

On reaching, check in to the hotel and freshen up.

Later visit the Golden temple and Jallianwalla Bagh, Wagah border for the evening retreat ceremony. Evening will be at leisure.

You can enjoy some shopping at the local markets.

Day 13 | Amritsar – Chandigarh|

After breakfast at the hotel, you will be driven by surface to Chandigarh.

On reaching Chandigarh, check in to the hotel and freshen up.

Later visit the Rock Garden, Sukhna Lake, Rose Garden. The driver will cover major attractions.

Day 14 |  Chandigarh – Delhi|

After breakfast at the hotel, check out. In time you will be transferred to the airport to board your flight to Delhi. On arriving at Delhi, you will be transferred to your hotel.

Evening at leisure. Overnight at the hotel. 

Day 15 |  Delhi – Depart|
